Axle Alignment Tool

The best axle slot is one that'’s at a perfect 90° angle to the side of the body. That means the axle will stick straight out and the wheel will rotate as freely as possible. This tool helps you ensure that your wheels run fast and true.

And these tips will help you do it.

Tip #1: If possible, draw a vertical line on the body directly above each axle slot. When you put the body in the tool, line up the drill hole with the line. This centers the drill right on the axle slot.

Tip #2: To ensure that you drill to the right depth, push the drill into the tool until it extends 3/4" (20 mm) into the space. Once you have, hold it in place with one hand, and use a black magic marker to mark where the drill comes out the other side. If you drill just to that mark, the depth should be perfect!
