The models’ XL-5™ speed controls and high-torque 2056 servos now wear blue cases to signify they are waterproof, and a new, sealed receiver box holds Traxxas’ latest 4-channel micro receiver. In addition to their all-weather capability, the XL-5 models are now Brushless Ready™ with the same steel gears found in the brushless-equipped, VXL-edition Bandit, Stampede, and Rustler models. Without adding any drivetrain parts, the XL-5 models can be upgraded to handle speeds of 65mph or more with a high-power Traxxas Velineon™ Brushless Power System.
