1/48 Krupp Protze 6x4

After Hitler's seizure of power in 1934, Germany mobilized its military. The Wehrmacht's Weapons Department began using civilian vehicles for military use. One of these vehicles was the L2H 43 Krupp Protze. The Kfz. 70 personnel carrier was used to carry passengers, cargo and tow light artillery. It featured an open-topped compartment with wooden benches. The truck was equipped with a 6x4 independent suspension and rear 4-wheel drive. The air-cooled flat four square 4-cylinder engine allowed the vehicle to have a sloping engine cover which improved forward visibility.
