| MINICRAFT 1/72 B-24D Liberator The B-24D was the first Liberator accepted for combat use by the USAAF and is identified by the large "greenhouse" nose rather than the gun turrets of
later versions.
Key Features
Detailed 1/72nd scale plastic kit for static display. Markings included for one aircraft: the subject of this kit is B-24D-1-CO (41-23659) "Blonde Bomber" which was captured in Italy and later flown by the Germans to assess its capabilities.
Approx. 140 parts in light grey and clear; delicate recessed panel lines. Detailed engine fronts and cowlings; correct "greenhouse" nose for the B-24D. Cockpit detail: floor, instrument panel with decal, seats, and controls.
Detailed bomb bay with bomb racks and bombs - bomb doors are positionable.
Service History: USAAF; 1941-45. Heavily armed, 4-engine daylight heavy bomber.
