1/72 B-24D Liberator

The B-24D was the first Liberator accepted for combat use by the USAAF and is identified by the large "greenhouse" nose rather than the gun turrets of
later versions.

Detailed 1/72nd scale plastic kit for static display. Markings included for one aircraft: the subject of this kit is B-24D-1-CO (41-23659) "Blonde Bomber" which was captured in Italy and later flown by the Germans to assess its capabilities.
Approx. 140 parts in light grey and clear; delicate recessed panel lines. Detailed engine fronts and cowlings; correct "greenhouse" nose for the B-24D. Cockpit detail: floor, instrument panel with decal, seats, and controls.
Detailed bomb bay with bomb racks and bombs - bomb doors are positionable.
Service History: USAAF; 1941-45. Heavily armed, 4-engine daylight heavy bomber.
