1/48 CH-46E Bull Frog

Over the past several years MRC/Academy have teamed up to bring you some of the most exquisite helicopter models ever manufactured. So it comes as no surprise that MRC/Academy is set to release the anxiously-awaited CH-46 Sea Knight in 1/48 scale.

You can be sure that we didn’t miss a thing- we studied hundreds of photos and interviewed people who actually worked on the real thing. From accurately angled fiber glass blades to misshaped air filters, if it’s on the real CH-46 you’ll find it on our kit.

This kit is the first to be born using advanced engineering software from Academy. It is also the first kit to have separately molded interior walls, capturing the most detail possible. All this detail can be viewed through the gun door and the masterfully detailed tail ramp, where you will find separately molded ramp actuators and distinct parts for an open and closed tail ramp. The cockpit is surrounded with tremendous detail. You’ll find tons of exterior detail like rescue hoists, separate armor panels, bubble windows, front and rear guard system, front and rear radar warning sensor, precisely shaped air intakes, and so much more.

The first version released is the Current U.S. Marine 'Bull Frog'. Rotor heads are precise and the angled fiber glass blades are faithfully represented. The long U.S. tail has been studied and perfected, and the trademark 'Bull Frog' sponsons are sized just right Decals from Iraqi conflicts as well as a U.S. Presidential version are included.
