Over the years Mark Twain Hobby Center has collected many images of trains. To date that collection consist of more than 3000 images, slide and negatives. Many of these great train photographs came from the the collection of Bill Henze who owned a hobby store in the Saint Louis area for over 40 years. Bill was an avid train enthusiast and collector. We are proud to offer these images, many by other prominent railroad photographers for your viewing.A lot of the photos that came from Bill were given to him or purchased by him from other collectors or dealers. Unfortunately, there were no records kept from what we can tell except the information that was written on the reverse of many of the images. We have included all the information that was written below the pictures.  

Because the collection is very large and scanning these images and adding them to the website is very time consuming additional images will be added on a weekly basis. So, check back on a regular basis to see what is new. We are sorting these images by railroads and those that cannot be identified will be listed as unknown. Please be patient as some of the picture files are larger and tend to load a bit slow. This is so you can see the details more clearly.
